SYMPOSIUM on "Swami Vivekananda on Nari Shakti" 22 September 2013


Exclusively female students studying in UG and PG courses in colleges of Chandigarh, Punjab and Haryana took part in the event "All Women Essay Writing Contest 2013" on the four mentioned themes which comprehensively included  the subject "Indian woman and their empowerment through the ideas of Swami Vivekananda".  Srimath Swami Suviranandaji Maharaj, Assistant Secretary of Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math presented the award to the winning candidates.
Sadhvi Lata Ji of Ma Sarada Vidya Mandir, Pinjore was honored for her valuable works.
Sushree Alka Gauri, Prant Sanghatak, Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari delivered an inspiring speech to the audience. She was the Guest of Honor in the event.

CHANDIGARH STUDENTS CONVENTION

Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Chandigarh organized one-day students convention as part of "Vivek Mahotsav" in connection with 150th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.  Inaugurating the convention Sri V. K. Singh, IAS, Secretary, Finance cum Education, chandigarh (UT) told the youth to imbibe Swami Vivekananda's message.






       Students presented thought provoking papers on the theme “Building Character to Build a Strong Nation”. Message-poster making contest and Vivekananda look-alike contest were also part of the program.

Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Chandigarh, Celebrates 
National Youth Day 2013

Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Chandigarh, celebrated National Youth Day on 18 January at the Ashrama premises.  Youth from different schools and colleges participated in the programmes.  Programme began with Vedic Chanting by the Brahmacharis of Veda Vidyashrama Gurukul.  It was followed by songs by the students of Institute for the blind.  Students of Saint Vivekananda Millennium School performed an excellent drama on Swami Vivekananda.  Students of Bhavan’s Vidyalaya, Sect.15, Panchkula, performed melodious musical programme. 












Speaking on the occasion Swami Anupamanandaji, Secretary of the Ramakrishna Mission stressed the need for the youth to imbibe the spirit of Swami Vivekananda’s message.  Chief Guest Sri Vivek Atray, Director, Information Technology, Haryana, narrated the influence of Swamijis message from his childhood.  Shri Sudheer Baweja welcomed the gathering and Smt. Vineeta Gupta proposed vote of thanks.  The Mission is going to hold four-days programme from January 28 for students, youth and teachers, in connection with 150th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.
